Emma Briggs
Emma Briggs (born Emma Briggs Coleman) is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Fort Myers, Florida, whose music is rooted in the timeless spirit of rock, folk, and blues. Music has been a part of Emma’s life since the very beginning—raised by parents who were passionate music lovers, she jokes that she’s been listening to records since before she was even born.

Her musical journey began on the drums at just ten years old. Alongside her brother, she co-founded the band Relative Theory, named after Einstein’s Theory of Relativity. When her brother left for college, Emma picked up the guitar and quickly found her own voice as both a performer and songwriter. Since then, she has been playing paid gigs across Southwest Florida, developing a sound that blends heartfelt storytelling with influences drawn from her musical heroes.

Emma’s style is deeply shaped by artists like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac, The Who, Ryan Adams, Sheryl Crow, Mumford & Sons, Jewel, and Natalie Merchant. With echoes of classic rock and folk woven into a blues-driven foundation, her music resonates with audiences who connect to both her lyrics and her raw, authentic delivery.
Today, Emma continues to share her passion on stages throughout Florida, bringing a mix of original songs and carefully curated covers that honor her roots while carving out her own unique path as an artist.
