Sam Ashworth
Sam Ashworth is considered to be one of the most compelling voices in music today. Born in Sacramento and raised in Nashville, 3x Grammy nominee Ashworth grew up in the studio thanks to his father, Grammy-winning singer/songwriter/producer, Charlie Peacock. Sam’s unique ability and passion for the craft of songwriting have given him a 20+ year career in music across a multitude of genres. His first cut as a songwriter was at 17 years old, when a song he had written at age 16 was recorded by Sixpence None The Richer on their Certified Platinum self-titled album. His current accolades include co-writing the 2024 single for Andy Grammer, titled “Without You.”
In addition to winning the 2021 Critics Choice Award for the song, “SpeakNow,” performed by Leslie Odom Jr. from the film, ONE NIGHT IN MIAMI, he also became a Golden Globe Award and Academy Award nominee in the same year. The reach of “Speak Now” continued into 2022 with an additional nomination for Best Song for Visual Media at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.
Sam is most known for playing a key role in the H.E.R. album, I Used to Know Her, in which he co-wrote nine songs that garnered him an Album of the Year nomination and Song of the Year nomination for “Hard Place” at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.
As an artist, Sam has released four solo studio albums and his vocals appear on Dierks Bentley’s quadruple platinum hit, “Drunk on a Plane” and on Norah Jones’s seventh studio album, Pick Me Up Off the Floor.
