Stevie Rees
From Lafayette, Louisiana, Stevie Rees grew up playing a fusion of Cajun and Celtic music with his siblings. During his teen years, they formed the band L’angelus and gained a large following. The band toured the United States and Ireland heavily, as well as Canada, Norway, France, England, The Shetland Islands, and Spain. Once the family disbanded in 2014, Stevie fell into musician work playing fiddle and guitar on recordings and touring with artists such as Sara Evans, Michael W Smith, Matt Maher & more. After retiring from sideman touring in 2018, Stevie focused in on songwriting and recording. He has had his original songs placed in over 8 feature films. In 2021, he launched a new band with his brother called Arbo, which blends their Cajun and Irish ancestry with the Americana Country music they grew up on.
