Randy's songs have been recorded by Linda Ronstadt, Emmy Lou Harris, The Dixie Chicks, Restless Heart, Clay Walker, Blood Sweat and Tears, Marty Robbins, Edgar Winter, Reba McEntire, Big Bird... to name only a few. Many of them hits, a few of them number ones and three of them Grammy winners.
As far as his own performances go, David Scarlett of the Country Weekly says:
